£24.41-£25.41 per hour PAYE (Dependant on experience).

MSS Infrastructure are currently looking for experienced Earthworks & Groundworks Supervisors to join our team working on a major HS2 project in Water Orton and the wider Midlands area.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Earthworks Supervisor, Groundworks Supervisor or Civil Engineering Supervisor.

Strong experience within earthworks, groundworks and civil engineering.

Previous experience supervising site teams and subcontractors.

Gold or Black CSCS card - essential.

SSSTS or SMSTS - essential.

Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and RAMS.

Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.

Good communication and leadership skills.

Ability to organise labour, plant and materials effectively.

Previous HS2 or major infrastructure experience is highly desirable.

Reliable, organised and able to work to tight programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate earthworks and groundworks teams.

Allocate daily tasks and manage the workforce effectively.

Oversee excavation, earthworks, drainage and general groundworks activities.

Supervise plant and machinery working on site.

Ensure works are completed to drawings, specifications and required tolerances.

Coordinate with Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors.

Monitor progress and productivity against the programme.

Carry out daily briefings and toolbox talks where required.

Ensure RAMS, permits and site procedures are understood and followed.

Monitor health and safety standards and challenge unsafe working practices.

Ensure excavations, access routes and working areas are maintained safely.

Assist with setting out and checking levels where required.

Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure defects are addressed.

Report progress, issues, delays and material requirements to Site Management.

Maintain accurate records and complete relevant site documentation.

Coordinate plant, materials and labour to ensure efficient working.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
