Description

North Northamptonshire Council's ( here after referred to as 'The Council') Housing Maintenance & Development Services maintains c. 8,230 council owned dwellings across North Northamptonshire. The purpose of this contract would be to support the Council in major roof renewals and maintenance across the housing portfolio.

While "in-house" trade operatives are used for minor roof repairs there has been little large-scale capital investment in roofing works for over a decade and as a result, the Council are starting to see an increase in the number of roofs failing the Decent Homes Standard. To deliver this capital investment at scale, Housing Maintenance & Development Services require a flexible measured-term contract, where such work can easily be draw down.

The Council is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement process. All documents and communications issued by the Council Procurement Team will be sent via the Council's e-Procurement portal, ProContract, which is provided by PROACTIS

Description of possible extension:

The Council proposes to enter two (2) Contracts for an initial period of 24 months with the preferred Potential Suppliers, with an option to extend for twelve (12) months and then a further twelve (12) months, making 48 months in total for each contract.

Lot 1. Kettering Region (Inc. Surrounding Areas)

Description

The Council will require a Potential Provider to carry out roof improvements and replacements to several North Northants Council properties in the Kettering area, to include Burton Latimer, Rothwell, Desborough, Broughton and Barton Seagrave. The dwellings will be a mixture of pitched and flat roofs with varying materials from precast concrete, traditional slate and bitumen sheet coverings.

Description

The Council will require a Potential Provider to carry out roof improvements and replacements to several North Northants Council properties in the Corby area, to include the outer lying villages at Weldon, Cottingham, Gretton. The dwellings will be a mixture of pitched and flat roofs with varying materials from precast concrete, traditional slate and bitumen sheet coverings.
