Belmont Community Cinema Ltd (BCC) are seeking to appoint an Architect-led design team to provide services in connection with refurbishment works at the Belmont Cinema, Aberdeen. The appointed architect-led design team will work with the BCC team to refresh the interior design making it appealing, accessible and user-friendly to general visitor – plus any consequential alterations to existing plans.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The architect-led design team will be made up of:

- Architect: with cinema experience to provide Architectural, Lead Consultant and Lead Designer Services

-- In addition, the architect or a member of the team must be an Accredited Conservation Architect, who will advise on conserving and enhancing the Heritage and produce a Heritage Impact Statement before mid-March 2027 – see Appendix H

- Quantity Surveyor and/or cost consultant

- Principal Designer [CDM Regulations]

- Principal Designer [Building Regulations]

- Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineer with suitable cinema experience

- Acoustic Engineer or Acoustician, primarily to input to cinema-specific elements of the design and build

- Structural Engineer

- Fire Engineer

- If deemed necessary:

-- an Acoustic Consultant or Environmental Health Officer to produce a noise impact assessment before mid-March 2027

-- Services and Sustainability Consultant
