The Gremista Landfill, Lerwick Phase 3 extension will primarily involve cut and fill earthworks, new haul roads, installing new surface water drainage ditches, pipework, manholes, and headwalls; placing a 500mm bentonite-enriched soil layer over the new landfill formation surface; followed by a 2mm HDPE welded geomembrane basal liner, protection geotextile, leachate collection pipework, and 500mm thick, clean aggregate drainage / protection layer. Capping works to the existing Phase 2 landfill area are also included and will comprise 1mm thick LLDPE welded geomembrane and restoration soils.

List and brief description of selection criteria

Full financial statements for the last 3 financial years available; if no accounts are available (eg new company) then a bank reference is required. Where accounts are not in English, the Tenderer must provide certified extracts in the English language.

A current bank reference which supports that the company could currently support an annual contract value of at least 2,275,000 GBP per annum; or

A credit rating check report to support a minimum annual value of 2,275,000 GBP; or

An average minimum general turnover of 1,625,000 GBP for the last 3 financial years available and an average minimum specific turnover of 1,625,000 GBP for the last 3 financial years available; or

A minimum general turnover of 1,625,000 GBP and minimum specific turnover of 1,625,000 GBP for the last financial year available; or

A minimum general turnover of 1,625,000 GBP and minimum specific turnover of 1,625,000 GBP for the current financial year by supporting verifiable evidence such as an extract from the company's finance and accounting software;

Relevant examples of works carried out in the past five years.

Each bidder will be required to provide relevant examples that collectively demonstrate their experience of delivering projects of a similar scope and nature. Each example must demonstrate experience of at least two of the criteria listed below. However, the examples provided must collectively demonstrate experience of all three criteria listed below:

Criteria Description: Pass / Fail

1. Successful completion as principal Contractor, of a civil engineering contract involving management of specialist sub-contractors, and the production of 萝莉原创 Quality Assurance (CQA) documents and records for works that are monitored and approved by a regulatory/licencing authority.

2. Successful completion as Principal Contractor, of a Civils contract >5,000,000 GBP in value, on an island geographic location where access is only achievable via aeroplane or boat, for the provision of new infrastructure.

3. Successful completion of an earthworks project including excavation and reinstatement of peat, from a sloping site, whilst adhering to a strict surface water management plan and excavation of rock including crushing/processing and use of excavated rock onsite.

The examples provided must include Client name, start & completion date and Project Description. No more than 2 Pages of Arial 11 point per example.
