Description

CHIMERA is a planned test rig that aims to replicate the conditions inside a nuclear fusion reactor, excluding the radiation component. Magnets (static and pulse/vertical field magnet) are to be installed as part of the first phase of CHIMERA鈥檚 installation (dubbed 鈥淭HOR鈥�). Cooling systems will need to be implemented to continually maintain four cryogenic compressors for the static magnet (SM), and to cool the VFM.
