26 Oct 11 Willmott Dixon Partnerships has won a contract worth £147m over seven years to deliver a range of services to 17,000 homes managed by Home Group.

Willmott Dixon will look after Home properties in northwest and 鈥榗entral鈥 England, delivering responsive repairs and voids maintenance along with planned works and gas inspections. The contract has an option to be extended by another two years on completion.

The northwest contract, valued at 拢14m a year, starts in Spring 2012 and will see Willmott Dixon maintain 9,700 homes primarily across Cumbria and the Lake District. The central region also starts in Spring 2012 and covers 7,000 properties from North Yorkshire to Milton Keynes at 拢7m a year.

Willmott Dixon Partnerships managing director Mick Williamson said: 鈥淲e are delighted to be given this opportunity to work with Home and achieve the unique Willmott Dixon approach outlined in our 鈥楾ransformational Change鈥 paper published this year. This focuses on how an outsourced company can deliver a real step change in service as well as creating major legacy benefits through skills training, apprenticeship investment and community involvement.鈥

Home Group鈥檚 director of customer service property, Jim Preston, said that the client was 鈥渧ery impressed鈥 with Willmott Dixon鈥檚鈥 innovative thoughts and ideas鈥.

Home Group is a leading provider of affordable and supported housing for people in the UK. With its national headquarters in Gosforth, the company was originally set up by an act of Parliament during the depression in the 1930s and celebrates its 75th birthday this year.

Today it manages 51,000 homes and generates a 拢350m turnover.

This new contract award brings to more than 150,000 the number of domestic properties for which Willmott Dixon is responsible. This includes more than 60,000 properties for Europe鈥檚 biggest landlord, Birmingham City Council, in the north and south of the city.
