The opening forms part of a broader £25 million investment Wernick has made in Scotland over the past five years, spanning freehold facilities and hire fleet buildings across its depots in Glasgow, Lochgelly, Dundee and now Inverness.

An official ribbon-cutting was performed by Councillor Glynis Sinclair, provost of Inverness & Area, alongside David Wernick, executive chairman of Wernick Group. The ceremony was attended by a strong turnout of customers and suppliers from the region, reflecting the relationships Wernick Hire has built across Scotland, where it has established itself as one of the largest providers of modular buildings and cabins north of the border, under the leadership of Ricky Wedlock, operations director.

The new depot will be led by Angela Taylor. David Wernick said, “I wish Angela and her team every success in their new home. I would also like to thank Leanne Knowles, group estate director and John Heron, site manager for all their hard work in ensuring that the building of the new depot was carried out in a time scale and finished to a quality that we are all proud of.”
