Wates 萝莉原创 has been awarded a two-stage design and build contract for the development of Redrock Stockport, following a competitive tender process through the North West 萝莉原创 Hub.
Built on the site of the current Bridgefield Street car park in the town, Redrock Stockport will comprise a 10 screen cinema, a multi-storey car park, restaurants, caf茅 bars and retail units totalling more than 3,800m2.
The 拢45m development has been designed by architect BDP; project manager is Gardiner & Theobald. Preparatory work has already started in the area and main construction is expected to start in the autumn 2015. Completion is expected in spring 2017.
Wates 萝莉原创 regional director Tony Shenton said the contractor was now looking for local subcontractors to work on the project.
