It comes after several years of the two organisations working together on the redevelopment of some of the university鈥檚 estates, including the new Students鈥� Union building in Nottingham city centre and new halls of residence on its Clifton campus.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the two parties will explore graduate opportunities, student placements, staff development and training, staff shadowing and guest lectures.
The agreement was signed by Professor Neil Gorman, vice-chancellor of the university, and Vinci chief executive John Stanion.
Prof Gorman said: 鈥淭his agreement is the beginning of what we hope will become a thriving long-term relationship which will be of significant benefit to both parties. We鈥檙e very keen to find ways to add real value to our students鈥� experience and to enhance their career prospects, and we鈥檙e sure there is a great potential to do this with Vinci.
鈥淣ot only that, but we鈥檙e certain that the expertise of our academic staff could be of real value to Vinci and may enhance the already impressive skills and knowledge of their employees.鈥�
