The Aspire consortium, comprising Hochtief PPP Solutions, Cityheart and Vinci Building, has been appointed to a 50-year design, build, finance, operate contract for student accommodation at the University of Southampton.
The consortium will provide the university with a single, long-term delivery partner offering integrated design, construction, energy and facilities management to deliver affordable student accommodation and study areas.
Hochtief said that the contract value to the consortium was 鈧� 200m 聽(about 拢170m).
By 2029, the partnership will deliver 1,092 new bedsits at the Connaught and South Stoneham campuses. It will also modernise 399 rooms at Archers Road, and restore the Grade II* Stoneham House, a living and learning space for students.
Vinci Building will deliver the construction works;聽 the properties will be designed by student living specialist Willmore Iles Architects, with the facilities management subcontracted to Aspire Students Limited, once complete.
