The new branch on Joseph Ray Road in Leytonstone is 2.5 miles鈥攐r an 18 minute drive鈥攆rom the closed Stratford site. At nearly three acres, it is almost triple the size of the old branch, and includes a Benchmarx kitchens and joinery showroom, as well as an expanded hire service.
Daniel McCafferty, regional director at Travis Perkins, said: 鈥淎t our previous location in Stratford we were a popular branch, but the move to this new site opens a much greater opportunity to service tradespeople in the heart of East London.聽The increase in space means the quantity and variety of products we have on site give our customers a fantastic choice."
The branch has increased its staff to 34 people, including everyone from the Stratford site.
