Howie joins Cratus following seven years with the TCPA. She brings extensive experience across planning, public policy, sustainability, community engagement and placemaking, having also held senior roles at the Campaign for National Parks and CPRE.

In her new role, Howie will lead Cratus’ communities and placemaking team. The team works with communities, stakeholders and clients to understand what matters locally, to build trust with communities and support places through change, in a way that, Cratus says, delivers better outcomes for the people who live and work there.

She will focus on complex and long-term projects, including new communities, urban extensions, estate regeneration, town centre regeneration and major engagement programmes, where strong local relationships and community confidence are central to success.

Cratus is a strategic communications consultancy with expertise in public consultation, stakeholder engagement and major projects. Its planning team focuses on communications and engagement in support of planning applications, such as pre-application consultations. Its communities and placemaking team focuses on long term engagement activity for large scale projects, including residential estates, solar farms, and proposed new towns.
