The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers & Importers (ALLMI) has added 鈥楶roximity to Slopes鈥�, a new calculator tool within its app.
ALLMI鈥檚 new tool is designed to assist those planning lifting operations with a lorry loader by providing guidance for the positioning of stabiliser legs when operating near a slope (taking account of mat size), so that stability is not compromised.
Data required for the tool is width of the mat, horizontal distance from the base to the top of the slope, and height of the slope. Entry of the above will then calculate the 鈥榙anger area鈥�, within which stabilisers should not be positioned.
