Old Oak seeks £12bn private sector partner

17 hours Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) has started the search for a private sector partner for a £12bn, two decade, joint venture to oversee and manage the delivery of the HS2-linked regeneration project.

Old Oak comprises around 31 hectares of brownfield land. The regeneration of Old Oak is expected to deliver approximately 8,000 homes, including affordable housing, alongside up to 200,000 sq m of commercial and community space, the creation of a new canal-side neighbourhood and a major town centre, and new community facilities, parks, and open spaces.

Anchored by the new Old Oak Common station where High Speed 2, the Elizabeth line, the Great Western Mainline and Heathrow Express all intersect, Old Oak will become a major new gateway between London and the rest of the country, presenting a unique opportunity to deliver a new urban district in West London.

The contract is due to run for 20 years, with an option for OPDC to extend by another decade.
