Athena specialises in power systems engineering and the provision of early-stage technical consultancy, supporting projects through feasibility assessment, grid connection strategy and the design and delivery of grid and private network infrastructure.
The business combines in-house engineering capability with its role as an Independent Connection Provider (ICP), delivering contestable grid infrastructure up to 132kV, alongside specialist experience in electrical balance of plant (EBoP) and private network developments.
The acquisition strengthens OCU鈥檚 ability to support clients at the earliest stages of project development, the company says, improving visibility of future workload and enabling earlier identification of grid constraints and delivery risks. Athena鈥檚 addition further reinforces OCU鈥檚 position as a leading integrated delivery partner across the UK鈥檚 energy transition and utilities infrastructure markets.
