Steel joins Kier from IMI plc,聽the FTSE 100 British multinational engineering company聽where she has served as chief people officer for sector operations for the past two years. Joining Kier in聽August 2026, she will聽hold a key leadership role for the group聽and support high performance of its around 10,000 staff members.
This role follows the group鈥檚聽announcement聽earlier this year聽that it would merge two of its business divisions, aiming to build an 'infrastructure powerhouse' under Joe Incutti.
Louisa Finlay is now the聽group鈥檚 chief operating officer, having previously served as chief people officer, and is supporting a smooth transition for Steel when she joins.聽James Askew assumed the role of group commercial director at the start of the year.
