Starting in April 2012, the initial contract period is five years with an option to extend for a further two years. The contract has been awarded in three 鈥榖undled services鈥� lots and includes maintenance of the key infrastructure assets - highways, carriageways, footways, streetlights, gullies, and watercourses.
As part of the contract, May Gurney will also maintain highways infrastructure assets belonging to Transport for London Underground and watercourses owned by the Environment Agency.
May Gurney says that its current forward order book stands at 拢1.5bn (including framework agreements but excluding extensions) and there is a strong pipeline of bidding opportunities and potential contract extensions worth in excess of 拢4bn in May Gurney's core markets.
