The 82-home development 鈥� designed by Hammonds architects and to be called Parc Eglwys 鈥� is in Bassaleg, on the west side of the town.
Lovell will build 40, two- and three-bedroom houses for open market sale with the first properties set to be released for sale early this summer.
A further 42 affordable apartments are being delivered in partnership with Fairlake (part of Seren Group) and Newport City Council.聽
Completion is due in summer 2013.
