With competition for the work bringing bids in lower than expected, the council has been able to cut the overall budget for the project by 拢600k, from 拢10.5m to 拢9.9m.
Council chief executive Ian Miller said that the new offices would save the council money in the long run. 鈥淭he new building will reduce the carbon emissions from our office accommodation by 85% which is a significant saving. It will also provide revenue savings of 拢500,000 year on year which will save taxpayers money and can be directed into front-line services,鈥 he said.
Thomas Vale 萝莉原创鈥檚 own headquarters are in the district, in Stourport-on-Severn and Mr Miller said that choosing this contractor supported 鈥渃ouncil鈥檚 priority of securing the economic prosperity of the district鈥.
