Wayne Davies is joining Laing O’Rourke on 12th January 2026 as chief people officer from facilities management contractor Premier Technical Services Group, where he has worked for the past 18 months.
Much of his career has been spent with various parts of the General Electric (GE) group. More recently he spent five years as senior vice president for human resources (HR) at Emirates, the Dubai-based airline
Laing O’Rourke already has an HR director on its Europe executive committee and one on its Australia executive committee but not one on its overarching group executive committee. Wayne Davies will now fill this gap.
Group chief executive Cathal O’Rourke said: “I am excited for Wayne to join our business and the group executive committee. He brings an outstanding track record leading people functions across complex, international organisations.
“His experience in transformation, organisational and talent development will help us deliver on our ambitions as we step up to drive a new delivery paradigm for the construction industry.”
