Peel Waters have started infrastructure works at Yorkhill Quay in Glasgow Waters for a development of 1,100 waterfront apartments.
Advance ԭ Scotland has been appointed by Peel Waters to carry out the £3.75m infrastructure works and is scheduled to complete in December 2026.
Glasgow Waters is an emerging mixed-use district set to transform a vacant brownfield site that runs along the River Clyde. Spanning 13 acres, Yorkhill Quay is one of four neighbourhoods within Glasgow Waters.
Advance ԭ’s infrastructure works include creating a 400-metre waterfront promenade. A footpath/cycle path along Yorkhill Quay will connect two popular attractions that bookend the neighbourhood – The Clydeside Distillery and The Riverside Museum.
Peel Waters property director Brian Lavalette said: “These infrastructure works are essential to unlocking the future development of a landmark waterside neighbourhood that will bring new homes, improved connectivity and high quality public realm to this iconic stretch of the River Clyde.
“Yorkhill Quay is a pivotal part of our long term vision for Glasgow Waters, which will be a high quality, community focused waterside district that generates new jobs, investment and opportunities for the city.”
