The contractor, which was part of the John Laing group for many years, is based in London鈥檚 Grosvenor Square and specialises in 鈥榩restige properties鈥�.
Administrators from KPMG鈥檚 Leeds and London offices were appointed on 5 October and are now looking to sell the聽assets.
Also falling under is HWA subsidiary Angus Gibson Music, and audio visual design and installation specialist acquired in 2004.
Holloway White Allom was established as Holloway Brothers聽in 1882 and went on to build the Old Bailey and the Bank of England, as well as聽numerous landmark bridges including Chelsea, Wandsworth and Hampton Court bridges across the Thames in London.
Holloway Brothers took over White Allom in 1960 and were then taken over by John Laing in 1964. Holloway White Allom Ltd聽operated as a Laing subsidiary until 2002 when it was bought out by the management team.
Until recently the company had 200 employees and annual turnover of 拢90m.
A spokesperson for KPMG said: "The business had ceased trading prior to our appointment with 175 redundancies made.聽 We are now looking to sell the assets."
