GWD Projects Ltd, GWD Building Services Ltd and GWD Engineering Services Ltd went into administration on 4 August and are now in the hands of insolvency specialists from the Manchester office of Ernst & Young.
GWD was formed in December 2008 from the merger of electrical installation contractor Gill & Wilkinson with Dunham Engineering Services, a specialist in the design and construction of mechanical building services.
Eighteen months after the merger, directors of the new company said that they were on course for 2012 turnover of 拢15m.
