G&H wins healthcare MEP jobs

1 hour G&H has secured two mechanical, electrical and plumbing contracts worth £16.3m overall on two health facilities, for Elliott Group in Wimbledon and HBC 萝莉原创 in Leeds.

For Elliott Group, a new client, G&H will deliver Affidea鈥檚 flagship medical centre at Wimbledon Quarter - the first private medical centre to be located in a UK retail destination. The European healthcare provider plans to open the state-of-the-art 30,000 sq. ft surgical facility in 2026 to deliver accessible, community-based healthcare.

G&H鈥檚 60-strong team, including apprentices, will deliver a full MEP design and build package, with pipework prefabricated at its Leeds-based workshop. Drawing on extensive healthcare experience, the team will install specialist medical trunking, lighting and earthing, the MRI scanner鈥檚 oxygen monitoring system and emergency extract system, the piped medical gas, theatre control panels, nurse call system, ultra clean ventilation canopy and sprinkles. Energy saving features include Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) and EV car chargers.

HBC 萝莉原创, formerly Henry Boot 萝莉原创, has appointed G&H to deliver a complete MEP design and build for GenesisCare, the UK鈥檚 largest cancer care provider, at their pioneering new facility in Leeds.

A 55-strong team will install specialist MRI and PET-CT process chillers and associated pipework, medical gas systems, and critical electrical infrastructure including Isolated Power Supply (IPS) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to maintain continuity in the event of a power cut.

Works also include patient monitoring CCTV, a quench pipe system, and a photovoltaic (PV) installation expected to generate around 28,800 kWh of energy and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 10,950 kg per year. On completion the former office building will be converted into a 36,000鈥痵q. ft oncology, haematology and research centre.
