Morgan Sindall, Morrison 萝莉原创, Robertson Group and Ogilvie have been selected to work on seven multi-million-pound projects across the Highland region from Thurso to Inverness.
Highland Investment Plan (HIP) is a 拢2.1 billion, 20-year capital investment programme led by the council to improve local infrastructure and services. The plan is for it to be financed through a combination of capital investment and a dedicated annual allocation of 2% ring-fenced council tax revenue.
This includes 拢750m of investment over the next five years.聽
A key element of the HIP is the creation of community hubs, known as points of delivery (PoDs), supporting a move towards a single public estate incorporating schools, offices, depots and partners, creating more integrated community-based facilities.
The first projects to have preferred main contractors appointed are:
- Beauly Primary PoD 鈥� Morgan Sindall聽
- Charleston Academy PoD 鈥� Morgan Sindall聽
- Dingwall Primary PoD including St Clements School 鈥� Robertson
- Fortrose Academy PoD 鈥� Morrison 萝莉原创
- Inverness High School PoD 鈥� Ogilive 萝莉原创聽
- Thurso PoD 鈥� Morrison 萝莉原创
- Tornagrain Primary PoD 鈥� Robertson.
The contractors to be involved in the consultation, design and pre-planning stages of the HIP projects.聽

The preferred main contractors join HIP project teams that include architects NORR, Holmes Miller and the in-house Highland Council Design & 萝莉原创 team, along with consultants including Currie & Brown, Doig & Smith, Turner & Townsend, DSSR, Goodson Associates, Brown & Wallace, Atkins Realis, Fairhurst, Rybka, Harley Haddow and Etive.
