Dynamometer engine testing solutions are being upgraded across the Finning network as part of an improvement programme aimed at expanding the range of engineering support available to customers. The latest test cell development at the company鈥檚 headquarters in Cannock, Staffordshire, has included a new 拢160,000 high-power dynamometer to certify the build quality, strength and power of engines being overhauled at the dealer's component rebuild centre.

This includes technical support for customers taking advantage of Cat Self Service Repair Options. Professional-grade dynamometer engine testing equipment is made available as part of this service to ensure customer self-rebuild engines are safe and operational.

Dyno testing is carried out in a controlled environment to provide engine performance validation. It ensures equipment can handle real-world applications and operates safely under maximum loads.
The equipment installed at Cannock is part of a new Rebuild Centre of Excellence workshop currently under construction to accommodate growing demand for machine rebuilds and major reconditions. The investment in the 1,230 sq m unit comes as more customers choose Cat Certified Rebuilds under the Finning聽鈥楻ebuilt and Ready to Go鈥� programme, giving customers immediate access to Cat machines that have been fully rebuilt to deliver like-new performance.
