Dewsbury & Proud鈥檚 new LTM 1090-4.2 is the first machines to be delivered as part of a six-unit order with Liebherr, but its 30th model from the German manufacturer overall.
The six-crane deal comprises this 90-tonne unit, two twin-axle LTM 1040-2.1, two 60-tonne LTM 1060-3.1 and a five-axle LTM 1150-5.4. The five remaining cranes are scheduled for delivery throughout 2026 and 2027 as part of a strategic expansion of the company鈥檚 fleet.
The four-axle LTM 1090-4.2 has a 60 metre main boom that can be topped by a 9.5- to 16-metre double swingaway fly jib, increasing the unit鈥檚 lifting height to 76 metres and working radius to 62 metres.
It can be driven with its full 22.5 tonnes of counterweight and remain compliant with STGO regulations, simplifying logistics and reducing setup time.
The first delivery under the six-crane deal comes at an especially busy period for Dewsbury & Proud, which has recently strengthened its regional presence with the acquisition of Ellis Crane Hire in October, expanding its operational footprint into Gloucestershire.
