The move brings Davis Langdon鈥檚 programme, cost and consultancy management services under the same roof as Aecom's specialists in building engineering, environment, water and transportation.聽
The two organisations鈥� Scottish teams are already working together on a number of projects including Kilmarnock College and the recently completed Peace Bridge in Northern Ireland.聽
Other projects in Scotland include Aecom doing design checking on the new Forth Replacement Bridge and Davis Langdon working on the University of Aberdeen鈥檚 new library, and the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village and National Indoor Sports Arena in Glasgow.
The Canonmills office location itself has an interesting history. The First Congregation of the Free Church of Scotland was held on the site in 1843 and after that the site was a tannery.聽 In the 1960s, it was the headquarters of the Daily Mail in Scotland.聽 The current office at Tanfield was built around the retained building in 1991 as the headquarters of Standard Life until 2005. Aecom moved in after a 拢20m refurbishment in 2009.
