The project is part of the wider Woolwich Leisure Centre redevelopment in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The homes will be delivered through a Section 106 agreement within a major mixed-tenure scheme being brought forward by Hill in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Section 106 agreements are also known as developer obligations, agreements made to secure permission for projects.

The wider development will deliver 557 homes alongside a new leisure centre for the local community. Clarion has acquired the social rent homes, located within Blocks D and E of the development, ensuring they remain affordable for local residents. The homes will be a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, designed to meet the needs of families and individuals on the local housing waiting list.

The project is being built in Woolwich town centre, close to Woolwich Arsenal DLR and Woolwich Elizabeth Line stations, offering links to the centre of London. The homes will be built to high sustainability standards, with the development connected to a district heat network fed by air source heat pumps to reduce carbon emissions and support long-term energy efficiency.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the first homes anticipated to complete in 2029.
