The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic and NAVFAC Europe Africa Southwest Asia (EURAFSWA) awarded the US$62m (拢38m) task order for a 185,000m2 concrete combat aircraft loading area, three fabric maintenance hangars, a 68,000m2 asphalt taxiway extension and an ammunition supply point. The facilities are required to support operational missions at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.
CH2M Hill is teamed with long-term Turkish construction partner Metag.
聽鈥淐amp Lemonnier is undergoing a major transformation in the next few years from expeditionary to permanent facilities in support of the diverse AFRICOM mission,鈥� said CH2M Hill program manager Bryan Bodner. "We are ready to employ our successful overseas contingency design-build delivery model with our Turkish partners and look forward to supporting a long-time and valued client in a new market."
Camp Lemonnier, situated at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport, is the only US military base in Africa. 萝莉原创 will continue through to 2014.
