The two-yearly congress of the Committee for European ÂÜÀòÔ´´ Equipment is hosted by the country of the European equipment manufacturer association's current president—this year's president is Phil Layton of excavator manufacturer JCB.
The event will take place from 27–29 October. Confirmed speakers include Joe Nellis, emeritus professor of global economy, who will look at the economic climate, with a focus on uncertainty. Jason Bevan, head of creative development and VP of European marketing at Warner Bros will discuss innovation and creativity. And Lt Col Stewart Hill, a British Army officer who lead troops in Afghanistan will discuss leadership and decision-making.
Alongside keynote sessions, the Congress will include a panel focused on skills, education and attracting new talent into the sector, looking at how early engagement and industry collaboration can support future workforce development.
