Joint developers Marrico and Helios have secured 拢46m funding for the construction of a hotel on Lisbon Street in Leeds and brought Caddick on board as contractor.
The development will be built on the former Leeds International Swimming Pool site and forms part of the wider Lisbon Street regeneration in the West End of Leeds. Marrico and Helios will act as developer, with Lamington Group secured as operator under its 鈥榬oom2 hometel鈥� brand.
The 16-storey scheme will comprise 200 hotel rooms, including a mix of studio and suite accommodation designed to cater for both short- and extended-stay guests. The development will also include a ground floor caf茅 and bar, alongside meeting and events space, a gym, laundry facilities and retail concessions.
Construction is scheduled to start in May 2026 and be completed in spring 2028.
Designed by DLA Architecture, the building will be fully electric and powered by renewable energy.
