Byrne drops O’Keefe name

1 day Byrne Group has rebranded its O’Keefe companies as Byrne Demolition and Byrne Groundworks.

Byrne Group acquired the assets of struggling O’Keefe in July 2022 and has now decided to drop the brand.

O’Keefe Demolition & Groundworks has been rebranded as Byrne Demolition and Byrne Groundworks.

Byrne Group chief executive Michael Byrne said: “This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter as we bring these specialist divisions under the unified Byrne Group banner. The change reflects our strategic intent to create greater integration, efficiency, and alignment across our services - enhancing our ability to deliver seamlessly across the full building lifecycle.

“Byrne Demolition will provide early-stage client support on demolition and re-purposing projects, while Byrne Groundworks will focus on enabling and earthworks packages, with drainage and utilities at its core.

“Looking ahead, we are confident this evolution will strengthen our market position as a trusted, end-to-end delivery partner, foster deeper collaboration within our teams, and enhance the value we provide to clients.”

O’Keefe Demolition – now Byrne Demolition – has recently completed the demolition of the Allen Stand at Lords Cricket Ground on behalf of Ellmer ԭ. The team is currently working on a ‘cut & carve’ project for McLaughlin & Harvey at 40 Grosvenor Place, also in London, on behalf of the Cleveland Clinic.

Byrne Groundworks is currently delivering a bulk excavation in Kensington on behalf of KYN Care Homes and completing a civils package at the North London Heat & Power Plant on behalf of Byrne Bros.
