Family run Birchall was selected for the three-year contract following a competitive tendering process. Contract value is 拢3m.
The contract covers full M&E support across the Liverpool One estate, which consists of 29 buildings including department stores, shops, restaurants, a cinema and a large underground car park operated by Q Park. It also includes the 17-storey One Park West apartment block.
Liverpool One operations director Chris Grundy said: 鈥淭he appointment of Birchall has provided the opportunity to make major improvements to the daily operations of what is a complex and demanding estate. Birchall plans to use a computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system developed by specialist facilities management software company FSi. The system, called Concept Evolution, is web based and will provide the estates team with a single, real-time view of facilities and maintenance activities, schedules and contracts.
