Beaver Bridges opens new Irlam facility

5 hours Beaver Bridges will today open a new production facility, Forge 44, in Irlam, Manchester.

The 'state-of-the-art' production facility represents, the company says, a major investment its manufacturing capabilities, with more than double the production space of its previous premises. The expanded footprint will enable the company to increase throughput, improve operational efficiency, and, it says, support a growing UK and international order book while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

A key feature of the new site is a dedicated trial erection area, allowing complete bridge structures to be assembled and inspected by our clients prior to delivery. This enhanced capability will provide customers with greater assurance, reduce installation risks on site, and further strengthen Beaver Bridges' reputation for engineering excellence.

Forge 44's location in Irlam gives immediate access to the UK's motorway network, significantly improving logistics and transportation efficiency. The enhanced connectivity will enable faster movement of materials and completed bridge structures, helping Beaver Bridges deliver projects more effectively across the country.

CEO Henry Beaver said, "The opening of Forge 44 represents an exciting new chapter for Beaver Bridges. By more than doubling our manufacturing capacity and introducing a dedicated trial erection area, we are investing in the future of the business and strengthening our ability to serve customers with larger, more complex projects.

"We are particularly proud to be bringing steel production back to Irlam, an area with a rich industrial heritage. This investment not only expands our capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to UK manufacturing, skilled employment, and supporting the infrastructure projects that connect communities across the country.

"The site's excellent motorway connections place us in an ideal position to support clients throughout the UK and internationally, enabling more efficient delivery of projects while maintaining the high standards of quality and service that Beaver Bridges is known for."
