The machine is used to load lorries with materials including sand, cement and aggregates, for the company鈥檚 mobile batching operation.
Director Paul MacGregor said: 鈥淲e tested a few machines to ensure we chose the right solution. We have a small yard, so anything too big can鈥檛 operate or anything too small would have to do extra runs. JCB TM420 proved to be the perfect mix of speed of loading, bucket size and manoeuvrability.
鈥淲e use it predominantly for loading the lorries which hold the materials: sandstone, cement and water, so they essentially become mobile batching plants. It has just the right size bucket to be able to load the trucks quickly enough and the extension of the boom is perfect for us. When it comes to concrete applications, it鈥檚 simply the right machine for the job.鈥�
