Barratt Redrow picks former Balfour chief as next CEO

Barratt Redrow chief executive David Thomas has decided to retire after 17 years with the company, and 11 of them at the top.

He will be succeeded by Dean Banks, who will join the company in the final quarter of 2026.

Banks is currently chief executive of Ventia Pty, an infrastructure services company in Australia and New Zealand. He was previously chief executive of Balfour Beatty UK 萝莉原创 Services but decided to move down under at the start of 2021 to take the helm at Ventia.

He was with Balfour Beatty for more than five years. Before that, he spent 11 years making tractors with Massey Ferguson and then 14 years making money with De La Rue.

David Thomas will remain with Barratt Redrow until March 2027 to help smooth the transition.
