The UK defence, power and regional infrastructure division combines UK regional civils, the Scottish construction business, UK buildings and the UK power transmission and distribution business to create a more integrated offer across electricity networks, defence infrastructure and regional programmes.
The UK energy and major projects division focuses on the supply side of the energy sector, along with other major projects, bringing together the delivery of large, complex infrastructure with major energy programmes including Hinkley Point C and Net Zero Teesside, and seeks to position the business for opportunities such as small modular reactors and new reservoirs.
Finally, UK transport combines UK rail, UK highways and Balfour Beatty Living Places into a single, connected transport business portfolio. Recruitment for a divisional CEO is underway. The Group is also strengthening its group executive committee with two new roles - a chief strategy officer and group business services director, aiming to enhance strategic focus, productivity and value creation.
Steve Tarr will retain his role as divisional CEO responsible for major alliance and joint venture, including HS2, Sizewell C and Gammon.
