Aberdeen contractor in administration

21 Mar 11 Twenty jobs were lost last week when Aberdeen-based building company Camstruction went into administration.

Local accountancy practice Meston Reid & Co. is trying to find a buyer for the business.

According to its website, Camstruction was formed in 1986 as carpentry and joinery business Gordon Campbell (ÂÜÀòÔ´´) Ltd, changing its name to Camstruction in 1998. The acquisition of George Simpson & Co expanded its services to all trades.

In 2005, on the retirement of its owner, Camstruction was bought by what was then Jamieson & Allan ÂÜÀòÔ´´ Ltd, which retained the Camstruction name.

Managing director Ian Jamieson is a past chairman of the Chartered Institute of Building’s Aberdeen Centre, and of the Grampian ÂÜÀòÔ´´ Training Group.
