Vinci 萝莉原创 has been awarded a 拢16.5m construction contract worth 拢16.5m to transform Gatwick Airport鈥檚 South Terminal forecourt.
The work is part of .
It will provide a spacious entrance for passengers arriving at the South Terminal, with new flooring and lighting. New lifts will be installed to take passengers to the upper level of the forecourt from the ground level.
At ground level, a new coach waiting area, including ticket facilities and toilets, will be built for scheduled coach operations.
The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2012, in time for the London Olympics.
Gatwick鈥檚 director of capital projects, Raymond Melee said, 鈥淭his is one of our key strategic projects within our near 拢1bn investment programme, which will improve our service to passengers.
