Job Description
Integra Education is seeking an experienced and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference and who can serve as a positive role model for young children.
This role is temporary with a view to become permanent starting off as a minimum of one school term.
Monday - Friday 08:30-15:30
*Immediate start available*
Due to the specific needs of the pupil, this position is open to male candidates only.
About the Role
In this rewarding 1:1 position, you will support the pupil with:
- Redirecting and positively guiding behaviour
- Establishing and maintaining clear boundaries
- Engaging with classwork and classroom activities
- Identifying potential behavioural triggers
- Promoting a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a TA/LSA in a primary school setting (Essential)
- Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, flexible, and understanding approach
- Consistency and confidence in supporting behaviour needs
- Experience with positive handling (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
