Construction materials testing

From its beginning in 1992 and subsequent incorporation as a Limited Company in 1999, Testing and Consultancy Services has been at the forefront in providing testing of construction materials and consultancy in all aspects of construction materials usage.

Our initial UKAS accreditation for concrete and mortar strength and density testing was gained in 1993 and since then we have increased the range of UKAS accredited testing we can provide, notably to include site sampling and testing of concrete and mortar. (See schedule in downloads)

We are also able to carry out a large range of tests to British and European Standards as well as our own in house methods.

From our original base Woking, Surrey, and now with an additional office in Birmingham we are ideally placed to cover our clients needs and can respond quickly to any request.

A wide range of materials is able to be tested including concrete both in the fresh and hardened state, natural and recycled aggregates, soils, and bituminous materials.

In 2007 we ventured into the Integrity Testing of Piles and a rapid growth has now seen us become one of the leading providers of testing in this field. In January 2008 we achieved UKAS accreditation for Integrity Testing of piles. We have now enhanced our pile testing capacity by introducing Dynamic Load Testing and Pile Driving Analysis. We have also set up a Special Projects Division to enable us to carry out Structural Surveys and Ground Investigation.
